john Shoemaker, owner

     John, or "Shoe" as most people know him, brings an energetic and personalized presence and professionalism to each project.  Added to his 20+ years of experience is an unparalleled dedication to customer service and attention to detail.  His expert knowledge of all aspects of the building process, from small to very large, is extensive and he takes pride of pleasing his clients.He has helped Classic Restoration become a leader in customer service and quality workmanship.  Under John’s leadership, Classic Restoration has been very successful in working with insurance companies to get the customer the compensation they deserve to put their houses back together the right way.  John is very personable and strives to make the restoration and/or remodeling process as easy as possible.
     Shoe has surrounded himself with a successful team of office staff, project managers, crews and subcontractors.  He loves the unique challenges that each project brings.  He is a proud family man and father and may ramble on about his two young boys.  Don’t get him started talking about his antique cars either, (unless you have some time to spare).

     As a former owner and manager of a small business, Jim knows the importance of customer service and pride in your work.  "If a business doesn’t respect its customers, it can’t survive.  Our goal at Classic restoration is to make sure to supply the customer with the necessary tools to make their project a successful one.  That is why many of our new projects come as referrals and repeat customers." One of Jim’s main objectives as a project manager is to maintain a strong communication with the customer.  Jim’s works hard to keep the customer informed and helps them make the necessary decisions to keep the project running smoothly and on time.  To that end, organization is a must.  To his co-workers, Jim is known as the "list maker".  Luckily, his co-workers have been able to stay off his "Black List".  Jim enjoys volunteering and is very active in his church.  Along with that he enjoys a great sense of humor.
 

Hal Griswold, administration

     Hal will typically be the first person our customers hear on the phone.  His three decades of banking and mortgage lending experience make him our customer relations specialist.  His desire to help our customers in need is unmatched.
     As our Administrative Assistant, he holds the office together.  Hal enjoys his membership in various civic organizations and is very active in his church.  If you are lucky, you may see him around town playing the drums for his band. Hal is originally from Louisiana, so if you are rushed or on a schedule, don't get him talking about LSU!  And don't forget to say Geaux Tigers before getting off the phone.

Emily Rodriguez, Sales & Marketing

​Emily Rodriguez was born and raised in Houston TX. She attended Texas State University and graduated in 2008 with a degree in Exercise Sports Science in Health and Fitness Management.  She got her start in the restoration industry in 2009. She has dabbled in project coordinating with everything from water and fire damage restoration, carpet cleaning, mold remediation projects and even crime scene clean up. She has had her fair share of crawling in attics and under homes, sometimes in heels while wearing a tyvex suit and respirator.  Now days she is a sales and marketing representative and has the pleasure of developing relationships with insurances agents and their customer service reps. We warn all of Austin to stay out of her way while she is battling the hustle and bustle of Austin traffic. She is engaged and a mommy to her furry baby Aviva, a boxer border collie mix and a tabby kitty named Simba.  Her number one priority is to make sure homeowners and business owners understand the restoration process and are communicated with as well as the insurance agent's office that trust in her to take care of their policyholders.
